This two-day event, held on the festive occasion of Diwali, will require adjustments to commuting plans for those in the area, particularly during peak event hours.
Key Traffic Restrictions and Advisory Details
To accommodate the influx of concertgoers and maintain smooth traffic flow, specific restrictions and diversions will be in place:
- Timing of Restrictions: Road closures and traffic diversions will be effective from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM on both concert days.
- Heavy Transport Vehicles (HTVs): HTVs will not be permitted on the route from JLN Stadium Red Light along the entire stretch of BP Marg while restrictions are active. Commuters are encouraged to avoid this route entirely during the restricted hours.
Delhi Traffic Police posted on X (formerly Twitter), “In view of a live music concert by Diljit Dosanjh, ‘Dil Luminati,’ to be held on October 26 and 27 at 7:00 PM at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi, traffic regulations will be effective,” urging motorists to plan alternative routes and use public transport when possible.
Access and Entry Gates
For fans attending the event, the following gates at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium will be open:
- Public Access: Gates 2, 5, 6, 14, and 16 will be open for concertgoers.
- Emergency Access: Gates 1 and 15 are designated for emergency access and will not be accessible to the public.

To ease congestion, Delhi Traffic Police has set up traffic diversions and encourages the use of public transport. Concertgoers and commuters are advised to use metro services or plan alternative routes to minimize delays.
Vehicles with Unrestricted Access
Essential vehicles, including police cars, ambulances, and fire brigades, will have access but are advised to avoid BP Marg and Lodhi Road to prevent delays.
