Siri with Apple Intelligence Might Release Sooner Than Expected

Mark Gurman, widely regarded as an authoritative voice on all things Apple, has shared intriguing insights about the anticipated release of a revamped Siri with Apple Intelligence. In his latest Power On Newsletter, Gurman suggests that users may not have to wait as long as previously thought for the rollout of new Siri features, potentially debuting with the upcoming iOS updates.

According to Gurman, while the new Siri experience may not be entirely revolutionary, users can expect a variety of exciting new features to launch soon. Notably, some of these enhancements could arrive with iOS 18.3, contrary to earlier expectations that they would be introduced in iOS 18.4.

In his newsletter, Gurman writes, “The biggest iOS 18 update after iOS 18.1 will be iOS 18.4, which will include many of the new Siri features (some are in consideration for iOS 18.3, I’m told).” This indicates that the much-anticipated updates to Siri may be available as early as January 2025, aligning with the typical timeline for the third iteration of major iOS updates.

Gurman has also provided a timeline for the release of major iOS updates, which includes:

• iOS 18.1: Scheduled for release in October this year.
• iOS 18.2: Expected in December this year.
• iOS 18.3: Anticipated in January next year.
• iOS 18.4: Projected for a March release.

The iOS 18.1 update is particularly significant, as it will introduce the first wave of Apple Intelligence features for iPhones. These features are likely to include advanced writing tools, photo clean-up options, notification summaries, and more, all designed to enhance the user experience.
