New Windows 11 24H2 Bug Causing Cursor to Vanish

Windows 11’s latest major update, 24H2, has introduced exciting new features and improvements, including performance boosts, enhanced security, and AI integration. However, along with these advancements, some users are encountering an unexpected bug—disappearing cursors.

The issue has been reported by users who recently installed the Windows 11 24H2 update on their devices, particularly affecting those on Copilot+ PCs. According to reports by Windows Latest, the bug causes the mouse pointer to vanish from the screen when interacting with text input fields in specific applications, such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Slack, and Spotify. These apps share the commonality of being built on Chromium, which might be related to the glitch.

The problem has primarily been observed on devices like the HP Spectre PC and has been discussed by affected users on Microsoft’s Feedback Forum and Answers.com support page. Though the issue is inconvenient, it isn’t widespread or system-breaking. It only affects a limited number of users, likely because the 24H2 update is still being rolled out in stages.

While this bug may not be as severe as others, its presence is frustrating for those affected. Fortunately, since it’s already being reported, it’s expected that Microsoft will address and fix the issue in an upcoming patch.

If you’re running Windows 11 24H2 and have noticed your cursor disappearing, you’re not alone. Keep an eye out for updates, and hopefully, Microsoft will resolve this issue soon.
